Dotted Numeric Punch

The Dotted Numeric Punch performs essentially the same function as the center punch but is lighter and thinner. However, because the dot created is smaller, it is more accurate. Mild steel is used to make the centre punch, and the point has been hardened and tempered to withstand collision with the substance it is marking. It is typically used to indicate the center of a hole that needs to be drilled, either manually or automatically, using a drilling machine.
